PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Emerging Black Choreographers Incubator is to provide a platform of quality instruction and mentorship to support the visions and encourage the voices of the next generation of Black choreographers as we advocate for the sharing of bold, new works which center Black dance, Black bodies, Black stories, and the Black experience.

The cohort will develop healthy inquiry about themselves and the world around them, clear concise approaches to their work and choreographic practice, and definitive strategies and practices to allow for dance making in the most expansive and effective way possible.

Participants will receive marketing exposure on Mojuba! Dance Collective website, social media platforms, and networks as well as free entry The Mojuba! Black Dance Fest.  Ongoing support is available as incubator alumni through continued learning and network opportunities. Not only will the cohort present their works at the The Mojuba!
