Rooted in Culture. Rising in Self-Knowledge.

The Spirit of Lion King

A high-energy summer dance experience is inspired by the movement, rhythm, costumes, and spirit of The Lion King. Our students will engage in the Mojuba! Way.

The students will experience our creative process and training approaches as we explore themes Disney's Lion King- responsibility, identity, and finding one's place in the world.

What to Expect:

  • Daily dance training rooted in African diasporic traditions and classical styles

  • Creative exploration and choreography

  • Cultural learning and storytelling

  • Community-building and collaborative activities

  • End-of-session sharing for family and friends

  • Special guest workshop with a member of the cast of Broadway's The Lion King
